CEO / FOUNDER

FELIPE VEGA

The IronClad team is led by Felipe Vega, a finance and accounting industry veteran that has spent the last 20 years of his career helping early-stage and startup companies navigate the financial and operational stages of funding and growth. He is a hands-on strategic advisor who is passionate about working with founders, management teams and the investor community to help build scalable businesses. Throughout his career as a fractional CFO, Felipe has helped pave the way for hundreds of companies by providing leadership and insights to establish strong financial and operational practices. While his experience spans multiple industries, including technology, Felipe has amassed vast expertise and specialization in consumer-packaged goods (CPG). As the leader of IronClad, Felipe values relationships above all and is committed to the mutual success of both clients and his team. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas State University.

Vice President of Operations

KRISTEN JOHNSON

Kristen has spent her career working with small businesses and entrepreneurs across a vast array of industries in both accounting and strategic operations roles. She has had the opportunity to lead teams both nationally and internationally taking on anything from new product go-to-market plans, software implementations, performance management processes, and anything in between. Always looking for measurable efficiencies and process improvements, Kristen helps drive companies to scalable growth. She hails from the Midwest with a double major in accounting and business management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Adam Casto

As a CFO consultant for IronClad, Adam has 15 years of experience in accounting and financial operations. He partners with clients to provide strategic guidance and support including strategic planning, financial modeling, financial statement review and board meeting support. Prior to IronClad, Adam held finance and accounting roles at Amplify Snack Brands, SolarWinds and Deloitte. A certified public accountant (CPA), he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Texas State University.

Nir Grossman

An experienced CFO, Nir provides strategic direction and support for IronClad clients to help them achieve their next level of success. Throughout his career, he has led multiple finance functions and initiatives including financial planning and reporting, treasury, cash management, investor relations, M&A, internal audit, process improvement, transaction support and project management. He also has experience providing expert witness testimony and litigation consulting to various law firms.
With a passion for building and managing strong financial teams, Nir has the unique ability to translate complicated financial concepts to advise stakeholders in a manner that is simple and effective. He is a CPA and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas.

Devon Ponds

As a CFO consultant, Devon contributes both technical expertise and a successful track record of leadership experience to his clients. In his role at IronClad, he provides strategic direction and support for both established and developing companies. From budgeting, reporting and forecasting—to optimization of financial and operational systems, Devon has expertise to support a broad scope of financial, operational and technical functions.
A licensed CPA, Devon began his career in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers before transitioning into the beverage industry. As CFO of Port Brewing/The Lost Abbey, a regional brewery, Devon spearheaded multiple expansions and strategic initiatives, improved systems and increased margins. Devon earned a Master of Professional Accounting from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.

Greg Miller

Greg is an experienced CFO that supports IronClad clients throughout all phases of the start-up cycle—from early-stage angel funding—through venture-backed financing. He lends his extensive experience to help his clients develop a scalable finance and operational model to achieve their short- and long-term business objectives. Greg’s experience includes leading finance, controllership, legal and human resources functions which comprises financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, decision support, reporting, M&A, contract negotiation and board of directors’ corporate governance.
Greg was a founding member of the Builder Homesite executive team where he served as company CFO for 20 years. He also held leadership roles at Pervasive Software and Applied Materials. Greg received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from San Jose State University, and he is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of California.

Nathan Kutcha

Nate has amassed more than 15 years of experience in finance and accounting. In his role at IronClad, he contributes a wealth knowledge and leadership to each client engagement—ensuring objective and decisive strategies and execution that align with client goals.
Prior to IronClad, Nate worked at Propeller Industries where he supported many venture-backed and high-growth companies across industries including technology, SaaS, ecommerce, media and insurance. He began his career as a Big Four auditor with Ernst & Young and also held advisory roles at RSM and Endeavor Global.
A member of the varsity baseball team, Nate graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in accounting. He earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with concentrations in finance and sustainable enterprise. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, bike rides, live music and running.

Andy Gentile

Andy has 15+ years of financial operations experience helping early-stage and mid-sized companies with financial planning and forecasting, internal controls, financial reporting, M&A and ERP systems. Throughout his career, he has helped many companies navigate the acquisition process, including due diligence exercises and contract negotiations. Andy has deep expertise in the CPG industry having held positions with Lavva, Oatmega Bar, Live Soda, Stubbs Barbecue and Whole Foods Market. He is experienced in both the co-packing and manufacturing models and understands what it takes to compete and grow in both the natural and conventional CPG space. A Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Andy earned his MBA from Texas State University and his Bachelor’s in accounting and financial analysis from SUNY Buffalo. He enjoys mountain biking, baseball and being outdoors.

VP of Finance

Brian Prehn

Brian is a VP of Finance with experience across various industries including Manufacturing, Software, Food and Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, Technology and Retail. Since 2014, he has been consulting with high growth companies to provide value through financial forecasting, accounting system integrations and financial reporting and analysis. Brian started his career in public accounting at Ernst and Young, then moved on to accounting leadership roles in the technology and manufacturing space.
Brian has experienced success as a mentor, team leader, change advocate and project manager. An active CPA since 2005, Brian graduated from Texas A&M University with a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Chrissy Koob

Chrissy is a multi-faceted finance and operations leader that has passion for helping early-stage companies grow and scale. With more than twelve years of diversified experience, she works with clients to provide a wide variety of financial and operational support. From forecasting, inventory accounting and financial reporting, to developing metrics and optimizing technology automation, Chrissy has a keen ability to identify efficiencies to help her clients achieve success. Prior to IronClad, she consulted with multiple venture-backed companies, including multiple e-commerce and CPG companies. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University.

VP of Finance

Theresa Owens

Theresa has more than 25 years of financial accounting experience including management reporting and analysis, audit and compliance, and process improvement. She has worked with clients across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, retail, financial and consumer packaged goods. Leveraging an accounting foundation gained as an external auditor for nine years, Theresa was a strong in-house leader for several startup companies where she helped grow and automate internal systems, establish sound accounting policies and procedures, and developed dynamic reporting. Theresa earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.

VP of Finance

Travis Russo

As VP of Finance with IronClad, Travis is focused on strategy, growth and profit optimization for his clients. Throughout his 20-year career, he has amassed progressive and comprehensive finance and accounting experience across several industries. Previously, Travis worked at Amazon Fulfillment, overseeing all financial and operational aspects of ten fulfillment robotics centers including development of weekly and monthly financial metrics, as well as financial planning, forecasting, and reporting models. He has also served as Director of Financial Services for US Auto Logistics LLC, where he was responsible for devising strategic initiatives, positioning the business, and leading the finance, accounting and IT support functions.
Travis earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in Public Accountancy from St. Edward’s University.

Controller

Abla Jad

As an experienced financial controller at IronClad, Abla works with clients to manage and support their accounting and finance function for maximum efficiency. For the last 10 years, she has worked her way up from an entry-level AR/AP to controller-level position, which has provided the opportunity to amass detailed insights and strategic expertise to help her clients establish efficiencies and processes across all levels of an accounting organization. Her background encompasses both operational accounting and accounting management across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, consumer packaged goods and land development/homebuilding. Abla earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Colorado State University.

Controller

Christina Mason

Christina is an accomplished controller with more than two decades of finance and accounting experience. Throughout her career, she has amassed the ability to quickly master accounting software and identify efficiencies for clients. Her extreme attention to detail enables her to organize and implement repeatable processes to ensure a timely month-end close. Christina earned a Bachelor of Science in Radio-TV-Film, and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas. Prior to her career in accounting, she achieved a PreK-6 Texas Educator Certificate and enjoyed teaching both children and undergraduates for ten years.

Controller

KC Fort

KC has more than 10 years of experience in accounting and finance across a broad range of small and early-stage businesses. She contributes a deep knowledge of financial operations, as well as financial planning and analysis, to her clients. Her holistic approach to the accounting function, looking at each client’s unique needs, helps her provide value across the organization.
KC started her career at an IT services firm before taking on controller roles for SaaS, government contracting, fintech and manufacturing companies. She has also participated in several acquisitions, both buy- and sell-side. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, holds a CMA Certification, and a CPA designation in Virginia.

Controller

Trisha DeSoi

Trisha joined IronClad Consulting with 25+ years of diversified accounting experience. She has a passion for working with startup companies and helping them achieve success. Trisha’s career started in the government contract field in Texas working with the Super Collider project and continued in Tennessee with engineering and environmental clean-up projects.
Upon her return to Texas, she joined a consumer product delivery company as an accounting manager. This position spawned additional controller and accounting manager roles where she has supported a variety of clients in business sectors including alcohol production, consumer products, social media marketing, medical services and project management.
Trisha earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University.

Sr Accountant

Luis Aragon

Luis enjoys developing processes and workflows for IronClad clients to them grow more efficiently. As a senior accountant with five years of hands-on accounting and operations experience, he has a passion for working with venture-stage companies because he can affect tangible change by analyzing and detecting vulnerabilities in a company’s operation to make improvements. Luis earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the City College of New York and is preparing to take his CPA exam in the near future.

Sary Hijazi

Sary Hijazi is a senior accountant at IronClad that supports startups and early stage companies. In his role, he provides financial and operational leadership and expertise to help his clients achieve growth and scalability. His industry experience includes technology, financial services, real estate and healthcare. Prior to IronClad, he served as an accounting specialization manager for a fast-growing Austin startup company.
Sary earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from American University of Beirut and an MBA from National University of San Diego. He is a CPA candidate in the state of Texas.

Sr Accountant

Marie-Sue Canada

Marie Sue joined IronClad with more than16 years of diverse finance and accounting experience across industries including CPG, SaaS, manufacturing, electrical, construction and hotel/restaurant services. Marie Sue also has broad international accounting experience that she gained in the Caribbean Islands and at large, multinational manufacturing companies in the Philippines including Tyson Agro-Ventures, Century Canning Corporation, Del Monte Philippines and Ajinomoto Philippines. Her deep understanding of the manufacturing industry contributes to her comprehensive cost costing skills. Marie Sue is a licensed CPA in Texas as well as the Philippines. In her spare time, she enjoys Chinese and Korean TV dramas, singing karaoke, and playing the guitar and drums.

Steve McKinley

Steve has a passion for working with high-growth companies across all industries to help them scale their business and achieve success. Throughout his career, he has honed his technical knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance with a keen focus on supporting each client’s specific needs. With broad experience in all areas of financial operations and accounting, Steve partners with client teams to forecast, budget and analyze critical financial data to help make the best decisions for the business. Prior to IronClad, he worked as a Controller Consultant at ScaleFactor, where he managed more than 40 clients during his tenure. Steve graduated from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University with degrees in both accounting and finance.

Accountant

Paulina Gorszewski

In addition to finance and accounting expertise, Paulina brings enthusiasm and attention to detail to each client engagement at IronClad. Realizing accounting was her true passion, she left a career at Comerica’s Technology and Life Science division to enroll in a post-graduate accounting program at Austin Community College. While completing this program, she also worked as a senior accountant at Beanitos.
Paulina earned Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from St. Edward’s University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She is currently preparing for the CPA exam. When not working, Paulina enjoys spending time with her husband JP and her two dogs, Maya the Vizsla and Stella the Weimaraner.

Accountant

Robert Stagg

Robert is an experienced accountant at IronClad Consulting that focuses on providing his clients with exceptional service. From special projects and short-term engagements, to permanent account process implementations, he is committed to approaching each engagement as a unique opportunity to make an impact. Previously, Robert worked at Lantana Foods where he grew his skills across a variety of roles, platforms and processes. He also had the opportunity to experience as the company expanded, re-branded and ultimately experienced a sale. Robert earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Park University.

Accountant

Wells Chu

Wells has the keen ability to quickly learn and adapt to meet each client’s individual needs. Wells began his career as the internal accountant for a private logistics company where he oversaw the bookkeeping. Over time, he also managed the accounting and finance department which included reviewing the financials and helping manage cash flow. Thereafter, he moved on to a financial consulting firm that supported startup companies where he gained experience in a range of different industries including e-commerce, CPG, professional services, technology and media.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at SUNY Albany, and a Master of Science in Taxation at Pace University.
